Tipps Elementary FAME Night
Lifepath has partnered with Tipps Elementary to provide additional volunteer support for their students, faculty and families. FAME Night (Feb. 8, 5:30 to 8 pm) is a fun night of fitness, art, music, and education. Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students will be participating in math/science movements to music and poetry readings. A light, healthy snack will be served while viewing a power point of students engaged in learning. Lifepath volunteers will help with sign in, passing out food to families and clean up. For more information, email Gabrielle M.

Ministry Is A Lifestyle
Susan Nichols will be teaching a new adult class called Ministry Is A Lifestyle. The class will begin Sunday, Feb. 21 and will be held each week in Meeting Space A at 10 am. It will focus on equipping and mobilizing individuals to be more effective in community development and outreach and will also serve as the venue for local and global missionaries to speak and inform us about their ministry. For more information, please email Susan Nichols.

Lifepath's Community Support Team continues to reach out to our community providing assistance to Cypres Assistance Ministries clients to help them repair areas of their homes or yard that they can not do themselves due to health or age limitations.
Most recently, Jim D., Arlen T., Chris B. with the help of a few college guys (Blake R., Joshua J., Mark D., Ken E. and Stuart V.) worked to repair siding and roof damaged during Hurricane Ike and fixed a couple of drawers in the kitchen. The team had a great time, and CAM's client was thrilled to have her home in better shape again.
If you would like to be a part of our Community Support Team, please contact Jim D. at 281.251.1919.

The world doesn't just need to hear about God's love. They need to see it. It's so easy for a church to remain stuck behind its four walls, isolated from the community God has called us to serve. It's no wonder that fewer and fewer people in our society see church as being relevant to their lives.
At lifepath we want to turn church inside-out. What does that mean?
- We will equip our church family to be an influence for the Kingdom of God in our homes, schools, workplaces and in our community.
- Equipping parents to share their faith with their kids.
- Equipping adults and students to start Bible studies and support groups in their workplaces and schools
- Helping members discover their gifts to serve in their communities outside the church
- Participating in Random Acts of Kindness in our community
- We will listen to and partner with the community to address our community's needs.
- Holding monthly congregational service projects to get us comfortable being out in the community
- Eventually, moving towards programs that help our community in strategic, focused ways
- We will seek to design any future buildings around meeting community needs. What might that look like?
- gyms for youth afterschool programs, or
- a job training center, or
- a food pantry, or
- a coffee shop, or
- a resource center for some other community need, or
- any number of other possibilities
- We will not be afraid to put our hand on the pain of the world. What does that look like?
- Hosting seminars open to the community on parenting
- Hosting support groups for addictions to alcohol, pornography, or other substances or behaviors
- Training life coaches for financial planning, and other life skills for members of our community
We aren't an Inside-Out church yet. We are still praying and learning, talking to community leaders about community needs, and discerning together where God would take us next.
