Through the giving of our members, Lifepath is able to partner with various individuals involved in full or part-time ministry. Some of our missions partners have given us permission to post their photographs, biographical information and provide prayer requests; they are shown below. Others are serving in ministry in areas where their safety could be compromised. We will update this page with information as it comes available. If you would like to send letters of encouragement to any of our partners, please contact the Church Office for their postal or email addresses.

Gabriel Innis

Rev. Bishop Gabriel S. Innis is founder the Body of Christ International Mission. He and his wife Sarah were married in April,1976, and have six children.

Bishop Innis' Testimony:
During the civil war in 1990 in Liberia one of our children, Formah, died from starvation in my hand while crying for something to eat. I cried out to God to save the rest of my family and myself. The Lord heard our prayer and He answered  us. As I was crying for my daughter, I heard a voice speaking to me, "Gabriel, Romans 8:28 is still in the Holy book: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, and to them who are called  according to His purpose."

The Lord saved our lives and took us to the Ivory Coast as refugees. In the Ivory Coast, 75% of the people are Muslims. The Lord gave me the opportunity to reach out to them by preaching the word of God and many came to know the Lord as their savior. From that time, I totally dedicated my life to God by reaching out to children who had lost their mother or father. I became a father to the fatherless and mother to the motherless, and to those who needed help in any way, I was a counselor.

As the Lord was blessing me through my prayer partners in the United States, I began to give scholarships and rent rooms to Liberian refugees in the Ivory Coast, sharing the love of God, telling them about the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ not to give up, that God was still on their side.

In my 25 years of serving the Lord as a pastor, my greatest achievement is not how much education I have, or how many churches and schools I have planted or how many people I brought to Christ. I thank God for these opportunities, but I will rather say that my greatest achievement was when I witnessed to my father on his death bed. I led him to Christ as his Lord personal Savior, the one I’m  so proud  of, the one who created me to be who am I today through His grace. I know that I will see him and my daughter in heaven when my time comes.

January 15, 2010 Update

Margaret and I are glad to be back in the saddle and gearing up for the students to return. We are having a retreat this weekend at Pace Bend Park outside of Austin and we're excited to spend the time loving students. The school semester officially begins on Tuesday and really need much prayer before going into battle.  Would you pray the following:

  1. God to be glorified this semester in how Margaret and I love people.
  2. Christ would become more precious to the staff and students in this ministry (we're doing a Bible study this spring on the interactions betwen Christ and others).
  3. Many lost would come to know Christ as their savior as we reach out to them.
  4. Students would get involved and go deep.
  5. Safety and protection (physical and spiritual) in all we do.  We have several road trips this semester.
  6. A powerful environment of grace in the ministry where people feel loved and encouraged.
  7. Our family and marriage to thrive.

Thank you for your strong support of us. We feel so encouraged knowing you believe in the work God has called us to do.

July 29, 2009 Update

Our passion is to help students at the University of Texas at Austin to grow into relationship with the person of Jesus Christ, and to equip them to live a lifestyle of following Jesus and helping others to do the same. Please pray for our ministry:

  1. Please continue to pray, we hope to be fully funded by August 15th. We have 18% to go. Thank you all for your support throughout this process.
  2. Continue to pray for all of our students whom are away. Pray that they are being used as effective witnesses for the Kingdom and that their desire is for the Gospel to go forward.
  3. Begin to pray for all the students who will be coming to UT for the first time, or back for another year.
  4. Please pray for our planning. We will stragetically be looking to reach the 89% of campus currently un-reached by ANY ministry. Please pray the Lord leads us as we seek to go where he wants us on the campus.
  5. The Fall Launch: The Ministry, Current Students, Staff Team, Production of Materials, The Ministry Office, Recruitment
  6. Pray for the Campus, specifically San Jacinto Residence Hall
