Inside Out
1/21/2010 5:00 PM
We're getting close to the end of our time of exploration on our vision to be a different kind of church. The next phase of our life together will see us "putting some meat on the bones" of the vision.
What will we be doing? What will we do for a building? Where will it be located? When will we start a capital fund campaign to begin raising resources for a building? What is our process for moving forward?
A week from this Sunday, January 31, at 10:00am we're having a congregational meeting to present our progress on answering these questions and listen to your response.
I know that one ongoing question is that with all the talk about becoming "inside-out," are we sacrificing our internal church life in order to focus on the community? The answer is that we are and will continue to be focused on worship, our children's program, our student program, and our adult small groups and classes. All five of our full-time staff people are in these "inside" areas. We've been talking about the "outside" stuff the last year because it's new to us, but the "inside" stuff is just as important. And always will be.
See you Sunday!
Pastor Elliott
